Tea Party/Gun Show

David protecting the Hershey Kisses, which were the guests treats!:)

The guns that David made for all of us.

Parker with his gun and standing so proud!

The kids were trying to catch Parker as he was crawling away

Setting up for the big party

Parker really enjoyed the refreshments at this party as you can see!:)

Maggie has really been into tea parties this past week, maybe it is because David and I were so sick and couldn’t move much for about 4 days. Anyways! Maggie had a tea party planned for us last night and she even made invitations for it!:) (I will have to scan them and put them on later) David likes to help with it too! Of course he is a boy and so he had to add boy things to it. So he came into the living room and had all of his guns that he made from his trio blocks on display and was going to give each of us a gun during the party. It was a great party!:) They even had treats for us…Hershey’s Kisses! As you can see, Parker really enjoyed the treats. They were very set on having us all at the party, so we couldn’t start until Daddy got back from his meeting. So we all waited patiently for him to get back home. Then David handed out his guns for each of us and Maggie gave us her cards that she made for us. That was pretty much the party. The kids are too cute and so good at entertaining themselves and us!

Parker Taking a Few Steps

Parker has been taking a few steps here and there without holding onto anything. He loves to be bribed with one of David’s toys!:) Just yesterday he did his longest distance yet, a whole 8 steps! We were so proud. I am just glad that I finally got a little bit of him walking on video. Thanks to little Dave for working the camera! You did a great job!!:)

Valentine's Day

Making some Valentine's Day cookies!

Parker especially loved the cookies

Meme and Papa's Valentines for the kids!

We had an amazing Valentine's Day this year!  We took the kids to Trish's that night and then David and I grabbed a quick bite to eat and then went shopping! We were both in serious need of help with our wardrobes, especially David!  So we went to a lot of stores and did a lot of shopping.  I think that was our first time to shop together, since we were first married.  David hates to shop, so I learned a long time ago to not go shopping with him if I wanted to have fun doing it! We both had a good time this time though.  David got a couple new pairs of shoes and quite a few new pairs of pants.  I got a few things too, but unlike David I like to shop and go quite frequently so we were focusing on David.
Then we went home and the kids had a nice surprise from Meme and Papa! Three huge balloons and bears for each of the kids.  They loved them and were so excited.   David introduced his new bear to the rest of his stuffed animals that night and told the new bear that he got to sleep in the front of all the other animals! It was so cute.  Maggie snuggled with her bear all night.  Parker loved the bear too, but was a bigger fan of the huge balloon! Thanks Meme and Papa for the sweet surprise!!

A Nice Surprise

A couple of weeks ago David came home and had a surprise for me! It was a sapphire necklace and earrings. I was shocked.  We were talking a couple of days before about the last time he got me jewelery was for Christmas, when I told him I really wanted a sapphire ring...he got me a beautiful emerald ring instead! It was a great ring, but it made it a funny story because of the number of times that I told him that I wanted sapphire.  Anyways so he made my day and I was completely surprised!  Thank you David for still surprising me every once in a while and keeping me on my toes!:)

10 months

How fast time flies!! Parker is 10 months old!!! He is so dang cute these days.  He is happy most of the time and is always very entertaining.  He took his first independent steps today without anything around him.  He took a whole 5 steps. We were in the kitchen and he stood up in the middle of the kitchen and then I held out my hands and he came walking towards me and walked 5 whole steps before falling!  He will not let us feed at all anymore. We have to put his food on his tray and just watch the mess unfold.  He also found a new hatred for getting his diaper changed.  It is a huge battle for each diaper change that we have to do.  He usually wins by making some kind of mess...He loves playing with David and Maggie.  He also loves exploring everything in the kitchen.  He loves playing with the pots and pans and lids.  He appears out of nowhere as soon as the refrigerator door opens and immediately goes for the breakable jars in the door.  He is sleeping through the night (knock on wood) and is usually taking 2 naps a day about 2 hours each.  He is a sweet baby and we love having him in our family.  He keeps us on our toes and we never know which Parker we will get for the day.  He still puts on quite the show, when other people are around.  He just smiles and talks and oh his new thing is the click his tongue.  Someone just commented today how happy and easy going he seems at church...David and I just laughed!:)  Silly kid.  I can't believe he will be one in just a couple of months! Like I said time flies, especially when it is baby number 3! Happy 10 months Parker!

My dresser makeover!

Before...(I forgot to take a good picture of the before...so here is one kindof!:)

After!!!

So we have been in our house coming up on 3 years this May and for 3 years I have tried to think of ways to get more storage in my kitchen.  I have only 3 drawers in my whole kitchen and it can be a little challenging to find a place to put everything.  I also only have 3 cupboards for pots and pans.  Not enough by any means for me! But I have dealt with it in the past.  Well thanks to amazing pinterest I found the solution on Friday...so by Friday afternoon I had gone out and gotten all of the things I would need to paint and update this dresser that David's grandma gave us a couple of years ago that has just been in our guest room as storage for wrapping paper.  For all the paint, primer and new hardware it cost about $100, but I love it!!!! It was a cheap solution for me compared to what I really want to do and I have plenty of leftover paint and primer to do other projects! I am so excited how good it looks too!! I actually have room to store things in now.  It has made my weekend! I am also excited that it will be able to serve as a buffet table for us as well! We always have a ton of food for our little get togethers and never had anywhere to put it.  But I do now!:)

Black Eye

Maggie got her first black eye last weekend.  She was playing over at Gabby's and Gabby had a friend over.  This little girl threw a microphone and hit Maggie right on her eye.  At least according to what Maggie and David told us!:)  Poor little thing.  The good news is that it was a pretty purple, which just made her look like she had some eye shadow on.  Ahhh memories!:)

Girl's Day Out

Last Saturday Maggie and I were both in some serious need of haircuts.  So we went and had a little girl's day and got our hair cut together.  Then we did a little shopping. It was a fun day and Maggie really enjoyed it too I think.  She was awesome getting her hair done too.  Just sat there so still and did everything the hair dresser told her to do.  I love having a little girl to do some girlie things with!
