My Birthday, Pumkin Carving and Snow

My beautiful presents this year from David and the kids!!! He did good this year!!

Maggie, David and Gabby really enjoyed my Dora Cupcakes!:)

David had it in his head that it was my 40th birthday...so he put 40 candles in one cupcake. It started to break so he had to duck tape it. Isn't he sweet and creative?!
We got about 6 inches of snow this past week. The kids loved playing in in. I don't love how long it takes me to get 2 kids dressed for the snow...

These are all of our pumpkins we did! Kevins is first, then David and Dad, then Giselle's, and then mine and Maggie's!!
When we were picking out pumpkins, we saw the perfect pumpkin for Giselle! The bottom was skinny and and the top was fat and we thought she would have a hard time working with it, but she did awesome! It was pretty funny. Then she ended up doing the best pumpkin with the penguin!

It has been a busy week. We got back from Arkansas last Saturday morning at 6:00 a.m. and I think that I am just now catching up with sleep. We had Giselle and Kevin come over and do pumpkins with us again this year. This time last year Kevin and Giselle had just barely started dating and we got to embarrass Giselle a lot while carving the pumpkins!! The kids were really into the pumpkins this year too. They just jumped right into getting those seeds out! It was a lot of fun! Then we had my birthday yesterday. It was a great birthday. Dave took Maggie out with him on Wednesday night to get my cake and presents. They got back and Maggie came running downstairs and said, "Mommy guess what? We got you a cake and it is NOT pink. It is green!!" Then David came down and told me that he wasn't going to hide my presents and they might just be in different rooms in the house and to watch where I looked! So then he went to Young Men and I went to finish the laundry and found my first painting on the washing machine. Then in the morning I went upstairs and found the next painting on the oven. Then David came home early and let me get out. Then he gave me the final painting. Then we went out to dinner. It was a lot of fun! I had a great day! Thanks to everyone who made it so nice, especially David!! P.S. Maggie did a great job at keeping the cake a surprise! It was actually a pink and yellow Dora. She really threw me off!:)

We had a great vacation in Arkansas. Minus the part where David was sick for the first 3 days and couldn't move...Poor guy.:( It might have been the fact that we drove straight through and made it in less than 21 hours! We weren't planning on leaving until Tuesday afternoon after David got off of work, but then David got home from work on Monday and jokingly said that we should leave that night. I was on board for it. So we left by 7:30 that night and took turns driving. That could have played a factor in David getting sick... David hadn't been home in almost 2 years, so he had a lot of catching up to do with all of his old friends. I am pretty sure he ate a lot more mexican food than I did, which is crazy. I guess he does miss it!:) It was a really relaxing vacation for us too. We got to sleep in and didn't have anything we really had to do. David and Maggie loved seeing all of our family and have been asking for everyone since we have gotten home. We went at the best time of the year for Arkansas too. The leaves were changing and the weather was very pleasant. It was perfect and then we came back to Utah, where it has snowed 6 inches in the past 3 days. Oh well, what can we do about it?!

Baby 3

On the left is the body and on the right is the head. His/her left arm is next to the head and you can see the 2 eyes and a mouth!!

I had my doctor's appointment today. It went pretty well. I have only gained a pound in the past 6 weeks and I am measuring right on schedule for 15 weeks!! We did have a little bit of a scare though....the doctor was looking for the baby's heartbeat and just could not find it. I was completely freaking out inside and imagining the worst. So after trying to find the heartbeat for a couple of minutes, the doctor said that we would go and do an ultrasound just to make sure everything is okay. That was the longest 5 minutes of my life. But we got back to the ultrasound and it just turned out the baby was just very low. We saw the heart beating just perfectly and he/she was even waving to us! I am convinced it must be a girl to already be needing this much attention!:) Just one more month until we find out whether it is a boy or a girl!! I can't wait. It will be right before Thanksgiving and Black Friday, so I can buy a few things for him/her too at all the big sales!!
In other news we had a great vacation in Arkansas and a great time with Giselle and Kevin's wedding!!! I will be working on getting pictures up in the next little bit from Arkansas and the wedding. Just have to get in the mood!! Everything is going good for us. We had the first snow yesterday...very depressing. We were also without electricity on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to about 10:00 p.m. The telephone pole right next to our backyard broke off and caught on fire. So the police, fire, and electric company were all out here. We saw them replace the whole pole and so that kept us entertained. All I can say is thank goodness for the gas stove. I was able to make spaghetti and corn and toast to feed us and Giselle and Kevin! It also helped us figure out what we need for emergency stuff. It turns out we are not prepared at all. So we will be working on that!:)
