Parker's First Bath!!!

Parker had his first bath tonight! His umbilical cord finally fell off after more than 2 weeks! He wasn't a huge fan of the bath. He started to tolerate it after a minute or two though. I love a baby after a bath! They smell so good and they are just so soft! He had his 2 week check up this past Monday and he is down to 8 pounds 1 ounce. I can believe it with as much as he poops and pees! He does not like dirty diapers at all. He refuses to eat if he has a dirty diaper. So I usually end up changing it right before a feeding and right after a feeding. It is fun...He is a crier! Loves to be heard. He gets the hiccups at least twice a day, just like when he was in the womb. He finally likes the swing and bouncy seat. Although I do feel bad because it is a pink bouncy seat! He has started smiling, when little David comes and talks to him. He loves it when Maggie sings to him. He loves sitting with Daddy. He's on an every other day thing on being happy. But every other day he feels the need for me to hold him constantly. I usually have about an hour of time to not be holding him on those days. It gets a little hard. He is a sweet little baby though. A little high maintenance most days, but what can you do?? He makes the cutest faces that are very entertaining to watch! I love having this little baby boy though. He is a joy to have in our family!!

Easter 2011

What the Easter Bunny brought for the kids!!
Dying Easter Eggs!

Parker and Daddy
The big Egg Hunt!!

We had a great Easter this year. It seems we have a pattern going on. Every other year it is a really big or really small Easter. Our first Easter we went to visit Marji and Jim at the Anderson's in Idaho. The year after that it was just us and Trish and Gabby. Then last year it was us, Greenwoods, Baileys, McCabes, and Mom and Dad. This year is was just us and the Greenwoods again! It was a lot of fun! The Easter Bunny came and brought a lot of great stuff for the kids! Maggie was a little tired and crashing from a sugar high. She was very sad and offended that she did not find the first and last egg...and every egg in between. I think she cried for about 90% of the hunt. We did get a few laughs out of it though. They all got about an equal amount of eggs in the end. It was fun to have a new little baby to celebrate with too. Parker had no idea it was a special day, but he seemed as happy as could be! Hopefully the trend will continue and we will have a big Easter next year! :)

Mom's Visit!!

"Deedah has bubbles!"

Mom spoiled the kids by making them all sorts of good and cute food! One morning it was snowman pancakes. The kids just loved it!
Deedah at the bowling alley with her Utah grandkids!

The kids loved helping Deedah in the kitchen...as did Biscuit! He was great at picking up the mess off the floor!:)
Watching General Conference and Dad telling Gabe to be quiet! Good times getting onto Gabe!
I had such a great time with my mom visiting!! This was the first time that she's been here and we actually had time to do stuff! It was so great!!! Now we just need to get her out here to meet her newest Grandson!! The kids especially loved having her here. Only Deedah makes snowman pancakes! We got a little spoiled with her here. She always had a helping hand in the kitchen from the kids. They loved helping her cook!
Dad also came out for a few days! We are so grateful for General Conference to get Dad out here! The kids loved hearing his silly questions. Biscuit loved all the food he got from Grandpa!:) Lucky for Dad, Maggie was always up for anything he suggested. Even going outside to look for broken sticks!
It's so great when family comes to visit! It always seems like it's never long enough!

One Week Old!!!

Showing off his muscles!

Just a handsome little guy!! This week has gone by fast. I got a really cute video of him smiling, but can't get it to download...:(

A HUGE Thank You!!!

My beautiful flowers from Mom and Dad!!!
I owe a huge thank you to so many people for these past couple of weeks! My mom came out 2 weeks ago and stayed for a week. Based on my previous pregnancies, we thought for sure that I would have a baby by the first week in April. Little did we know that the progesterone shots that I was taking would do so well at keeping our little one in me. So my mom got here on April 1st and there was still no little one...I was a little stressed to say the least. I felt so bad for having Mom come out here and there was no baby. I would go to bed every night thinking that I would wake up in the middle of the night and need to rush to the hospital. That did not happen. It turned out to be so nice having my mom here the week before I had Parker though. She was able to help me finish all the last minute things, rearrange my house, do the laundry, all the cooking, cleaning and playing with the kids!! She was amazing. Words can never express how grateful I was to have her out here. I know the kids were grateful to have her here too. They just adore her! And we were able to just go out and shop and do some things Mom has been wanting to do for a long time, but never had time too. It really was a blessing in disguise, even though I was still so amazingly so sad that she wasn't here to meet little Parker Scott. Thanks so much Mom for being so great and helpful!!
My ward has also been amazing with this pregnancy. All the cards, calls and sweet blankets and play dates with the kids helped me out so much! I am in the Young Woman presidency and love how sweet all of them have been. They made me feel so loved! Words can't express how grateful I am to all of them for their love, service and help through out everything!
David's grandparents were so sweet this week as well! You should have seen the baskets full of food that they brought for us! It was enough food to last us at least a week!:) It is so nice to have them out here! They are so great and and always willing to lend a hand!
Another huge help for us this past week was Gabe. He was here with us for his spring break. I don't think it was as relaxing as he had hoped. But we could not have done it without him. When my water broke at 4:00 a.m. we were so glad that we just had to go tell Gabe we were heading to the hospital. He is a real trooper! He was with the kids until about 8:00 that night, when David came home. He had quite the day too!! He cleaned up dog throw up, a toilet overflow, a dirty bottom and our disaster of a kitchen...Poor guy! He also entertained the kids quite a bit this week, while I was trying to catch up on sleep and tend to a newborn. The kids love to jump on him and bug him and he lets them! Thank you Gabe for all you did to help out! I only give you a hard time because I know you like it!:) And I know you will be a great husband and father someday!! Thank you so much again Gabe for all you did for us this week!!
Trish, there is no way me or my kids would survive out here without you. Especially the past couple of months. All the sleepovers to help the kids have some playtime and time out of the house, while I was on bed rest. And this past week thank goodness for your help with the kids as usual and for the cleaning and cooking you have done. Especially dinner tonight! Nothing like virginia Chicken and all the fixins! Thank you for all the cute clothes that he was in desperate need of! He is lucky to have such a loving Aunt so willing to help out! As much help as the guys are, it's just not the same. Only mothers know how to keep trying until you find a fix for a crying baby and don't come running to me as soon as a little cry starts! Thank you so much for everything! I can never express how grateful I am for you and all you do!
David has of course gotten the brunt of everything. I don't think he quite understands the things that go through my head all day. He has to put up with all of my roller coaster of emotions and does a great job with the kids and keeping up with the kids and the house work. You are a great father and husband and I am lucky to have you!
Sorry this was so long, but I feel like I needed to publicly thank all of you! I am so grateful to have such a great support system, so far from all of our family!

Parker Scott

Daddy and Parker

Going home!!!
Aunt Giselle and Parker

My cute kids!!!

David and Maggie really wanted to take pictures today of me and them and Parker!

We have had a fun couple of days adjusting to little Parker! He is a cutie! We have traded out most of the pink stuff for blue! He seems to be happier about it! (Except for the purple blanket that Maggie brought to him this morning!) I think that Parker is finally feeling better and over all the shots and things he had done on the day we got discharged. Maggie and David just adore him. They always want to hug, kiss, hold or love on their new little brother! It's really cute! Biscuit has had some adjusting to do as well. Poor dog has been forgotten outside a number of times and has slept on the couch the past couple of nights instead of in bed with us. He started howling, when he hears Parker crying. It's pretty funny! Well the little angel needs me right now, so I will tell more about him later!!

Introducing...

PARKER SCOTT TORGERSON 8 POUNDS 6 OUNCES!!!

Yes, you read right! After almost 4 and 1/2 months of thinking we were going to have a little Elizabeth, we hear the doctor say those 3 little words, "It's a boy!!!" Our reaction was, "What?! You mean a girl?!" It was complete shock in the delivery room from everyone! Nothing could have surprised me more. But we are so excited to have another little boy!! He is just precious and very vocal! He was 20 inches long and weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces. Just a healthy little baby and so chubby and cute. It is hard not to squeeze those little cheeks all the time!:)
I woke up this morning at about 4:00 a.m. and really had to go to the bathroom, so I went and it just felt weird. I thought maybe my water broke, but I wasn't quite sure, so I went back to bed and laid down for a little bit and then after about 15 minutes my pants we wet and, so I was going to put on a sweater, because I didn't want to wake David up yet and see him pacing. But he woke up and asked why I was hunched over in pain. He said we had to leave right away to go to the hospital, so we did. We got settle into the room by about 5:30 and I was dilated to about a 6. Then they checked me at about 6:30 and I was an 8. About 15 minutes later, I told the nurse I thought it was time to push, so she checked me and I was to 10 centimeters and ready to start pushing. I started pushing at about 7:16 and he was born at 7:19 a.m. It was an amazing and crazy moment hearing the doctor say it was a boy!! I couldn't be happier to have another little man in our lives! I will try and keep everyone posted on how little Parker is doing! Thanks for all the sweet prayers and text and calls for our little baby! We really feel loved today!!
