Happy Birthday Maggie!!!

2 years ago on December 26, 20o7 little Maggie Leigh was born in Sandy, Utah! I was on bed rest for about 2 and 1/2 weeks with her and then my doctor told me once I got to 35 weeks, which was December 25 (Christmas!) I could come off of bed rest and she could come into this world! It was our first Christmas out in Utah, so I was homesick and all I wanted was my mom's Braided Christmas Wreath. So at 5:00 a.m. I got up on Christmas morning and made my yummy bread! The only thing I asked of Maggie was that we would be able to celebrate Christmas with little David. So we had a great Christmas day with lunch at Trish's and Dinner at Grandma's. Then we got home at about 5:00 that night and I finally sat down on the couch and I was laying there for a little bit and noticed that I was having contractions. David was on the phone with his mom the whole time and after about 20 minutes of me having contractions 3-4 minutes apart I told him to get off the phone and pay attention to me!:) So we waited about another 40 minutes and since they were still coming so close we decided to head over to the hospital. We didn't call anyone because we weren't positive if they would let me stay, so we took little David with us and headed over. I was definitely in labor. It was a long night. Apparently the room was freezing cold (I couldn't tell because I was in labor!) and the chair that David was "sleeping" in was broken. And I kept waking him up with my vomiting! Rude I know! Anyways at about 7:00 the next morning my water broke and then at 8:00 the nurse told me to do some practice pushes. So I pushed one and a half times and she yelled at me to stop immediately because she saw the head. So then I had to wait until my doctor got their to be able to push. He didn't get there until 8:45 and I was cursing his name and telling the nurses we didn't need him. After about 2-3 pushes our little Maggie Pie was born at 9:00 a.m. on the dot weighing 6 pounds even at 18 and 1/2 inches long. She was tiny! Easiest birth ever! She did not have one complication even being 5 weeks early. We were home by big David's Birthday December 28th! She is such a cute little girl. Always making us laugh. Whether by her facial expressions or saying, "Paaaammm" or her saying "sit" with an "h" after the "s" She is very smart and talkative. She loves playing mommy. She got a baby alive for her birthday and it was love at first sight. She has taking that baby everywhere. Even to Chucke Cheese for her birthday! I love having her in my life and love watching her grow and learn everyday! Happy Birthday Maggie Leigh!

David's 4 Years Old!

I can't believe my little boy is 4 years old today!! We were watching videos of him last night and I still ball when I see the video of me finally getting to hold him after 45 long minutes! 4 years ago on December 15 at 9:00 p.m. I started having contractions about 5 minutes apart, but my doctor told me not to come in until they were about 3 minutes apart. David was in the living room or something and I was in the bedroom and I didn't want to tell him I was having contractions for 2 reasons. One he had told me that David was going to be born on December 16th and I didn't want him to be right and reason number 2 was...for anyone who has ever been in the same room you will understand this one!...David gets a little antsy when he is nervous or anxious and so I was just going to wait until my contractions to be closer. So he came to bed at about 10:30 and was laying with me for a little bit and then he asked me why I was breathing so weird. To which I yelled, "Can't I breath?!" He asked if I was going into labor and I said yes and then he started pacing back and forth until we left for the hospital an hour later. We got to the hospital and I was dilated and having contractions every 2-3 minutes. Then I got my epidural and everything was great! Then the next day at about 1:30 p.m. they told me it was time to start pushing. It was the hardest thing ever and after 1 hour and 15 minutes my little baby boy was here. They took him right away because he was grunting, which meant he had fluid in the lungs. I didn't get to see or hold my baby for 45 minutes. It was some of the longest minutes of my life. THen I finally got him in my arms and didn't want to let him go, but they had to take him to the NICU to watch him because of his breathing, which is where they discovered he had sleep apnea which means he would stop breathing when he fell asleep. Then they did some scans and saw he had bleeding on the brain. He was kept in the hospital for 11 days and I could only hold every 3-4 hours to feed him for 20-30 minutes. He had a feeding tube down his throat and little glasses on his face for the jaundice and the nurses said he would always take the feeding tube out and the glasses off. Tough little guy~ It was so hard to see him hooked up to all the monitors and not being able to comfort him. He is such an amazing little boy. He is so loving and gentle and loves all his family. He is talking up a storm now that he is four and it is hard to believe that one year ago he could only say a few words. He is very considerate and loves to snuggle with his mommy! He loves giving hugs and his new, "I love you" is " I like you." He is hilarious and fun and cute and I am so glad he is mine! Happy Birthday Dave! We love you!!

Cute Pics

Here are some cute pictures of the past couple of weeks! The first big snow came a couple of weeks ago and the kids were SO excited! They played out there for about half an hour and then I had to drag them in because the snow was coming down so hard and I was getting cold. They could have stayed out there for hours I am sure! It had only been snowing for about 20 minutes and look how much snow was on the ground! CRAZY!! We also did a family home evening, where we went to the Jordan River Temple. The kids had a great time. They were so cute. David kept asking to go in, so we had to explain to him what he had to do to be able to go in the temple. Then there are some pictures of my beautiful little girl! I got her a new dress this week and she was so excited about it and has been trying to put it on all week. Then today after she took a bath she went and got it and said, "Pretty!" So we put it on her and she had to go and find daddy to show him. She is very proud of it! So cute!

Primary Presentation

My little baby boy had his first Primary Presentation this past Sunday. We had no idea how he would do. You just never know! But he did amazing!!! It was so cute! We practiced with him and then one night I was practicing with him and I said the wrong words and he said, "No mom that's not it" and he corrected me. He stood up for all the songs and would look for us and then smile and wave. Then we would show Maggie where Dave was and she would wave really big and then yell, "That's Dave....Hiiiii!" It was really cute~ They are growing up really way too fast. David is talking sooooo much and said to me this morning when I was vacuuming, " Mom you made me very angry" I asked him why and he said, "You are being too loud with that vacuum." Then this morning he had come in at about 6:00 and laid down. Then Big David got up at about 6:30 and little David said to him "Dad close the door" David just turned off the light and then left the room. So then little David got up and said, "I guess I will have to do it" and got up and shut the door. He got back in bed and said, "Dad wouldn't do it, so I guess I had to do it all by myself!" I was cracking up! He is hilarious. His other favorite thing to say it, "I like you" He has replaced most of his I love yous with that so we figure if he tells someone that, he really loves them! Too cute!!

Here are some pictures of the kids in their costumes! They look sooooo cute! They are having a blast. We have a few minutes to spare between the Trunk or Treat and all the cousins coming over to go trick or treating, so I thought that I would post some of the pictures of them for the Grandparents in Arkansas to see!

Where to Start?!!

Maggie and David were really into the pumpkins this year. They both helped with taking the seeds out and were having a great time!
Giselle's is on the left with a bat and the word FAT. Little Dave's is the Transformer, Maggie's is Minnie Mouse, I did an owl and David did some kind of computer sign!

It was so much fun having the kids so excited about Halloween. David is going to be Cowboy Dave and Maggie is a bumble bee!

Oh my what a month! I can't believe it is the last day of the month! Where does the time go? I have been falling behind! My computer has been acting weird for a while now and then it just went dead one day. It was pretty old, but still depressing. So David got me a laptop for $10. It was pretty nice for $10, but it weighed about 20 pounds and was probably at least 10 years old. Then David really surprised me for my birthday and got me a BRAND NEW one!!! I was shocked and sooooo happy! He did great! The kids are both doing well. Just getting so big and funny. Both of them are just talking up a storm. David's favorite thing to say is, "Don't forget about me" and "hey that wasn't very nice." Maggie just screams a lot and mimics everything we say! They are a ton of fun these days! Not too much else is going on. We are enjoying have Giselle with us. She is hilarious and always good for a laugh. Anyways here are a few pictures of us from the past month!

Fun things!

Oh what a pretty girl, with her sandals and socks and pitiful face.
The kid's new toy!!

Maddy and David posing for Maddy's first day of school~
I have been really bad about taking pictures lately. I need to be carrying around my camera to catch all the funny things these kids do! So I had been wanting to buy Maggie and David a new toy of some kind for the backyard, and we were at Shopko one day and saw the play fort thing on clearance for $60. I was so excited and so was little David. I kept showing him other options, but his was the one he wanted! So I took the tag thing to the front and paid for it. Then I told them that I would come back and pick it up, because I had to go and get a truck for it. I went back a couple of hours later and went in to get it and the guy at the service desk was like, "ahhhhh man we actually didn't have that anymore when you bought it earlier." I was soooooo mad. They did not even have it even though they took my money and said they did. So he said he could call around if I wanted him to and I told him I paid for it and they would be getting me what they advertised they had for the same price. I was so frustrated with him. So he called around and luckily he found one in Murray, so we went and picked it up after an extra hour. The good news is that the kids LOVE it! I can't wait to add more fun toys to our backyard. It is so big and just calling for more toys and all kinds of fun stuff!

Random things!

The kids always enjoy a day in the pool and pop-cycles!

They also enjoy fighting over the one bike that we have for them.
Notice Olivia pulling Maggie's hair? Shocking I know!

Maggie after eating a very blue yogurt. That was fun to clean up!
Maggie went peepee and poo-poo in the potty last week and wanted some panties to wear, so she got some Dora ones and was sooooo excited about them!
That's our special girl!!
