Christmas

The kids acted out Luke 2 on Christmas Eve, while Grandpa read it.

Maggie's quilt that I made her!
Me with my new Paula Dean pots!!! I was soooo excited!!
The 3 kids all slept in David's room, so Santa could come and bring presents to them!
Maggie with her Doll house
David has been asking to get Hi-Ho Cherryo for the kids for a while now and kept talking about how much fun it it, so I went ahead and got it for him!:)
David's Grandma knows how David has to have really big bowls for his cereal, so she got him some and they are AWESOME!!
David surprised me with a new fridge!!!
Little David was so cute. He wou1ld go up to everyone that gave him a present and give them a huge hug for the first few presents!
Christmas morning. It was packed in our living room!

We had a great Christmas!! It was so nice having the Torgersons here. Made Christmas that much more special! We had a full house Christmas morning. Trish and Gabby spent the night Christmas Eve and then we had our little family, Sherrie, Dave, Austin, Giselle, Kevin and our newest addition to the family, Biscuit!! It was great having so much family here. Christmas Eve we had a ton of appetizers for dinner, read Luke 2, while the kids acted it out, opened one present each and read "Twas the Night Before Christmas." We got a lot packed into one night. Then Christmas morning we woke up at about 6:00 a.m. and got our stockings and admired Biscuit. We waited until Gabby's Dad, Nick, got to our house to open presents and then off we went! It was a lot of unwrapping! David surprised me with a beautiful new refrigerator. I was so surprised and sooooo happy!! I have been wanting a new one since we moved into this house. It is soo nice. It's a side by side and everything I wanted~I also got a new knife set, coat, and perfume, just to name a few things. It was such a great Christmas!! The kids are enjoying all there great new toys from Santa, especially Biscuit!! Hope everyone had as great a holiday as I did and a Happy New Year!!

Biscuit!!!

We finally got a doggy for Christmas from Santa! He is the cutest thing EVER!!!! He is a Shiz Tzu about 7 weeks old. We are in love with him. He is doing really well with going potty on the pads and has gone potty outside a couple of times. He loves to play and snuggle. He has a teeny tiny whimper and has barked maybe 2 times. He loves his little bed and likes hiding under our coffee table.
I will be posting pictures of everything else in a few days, but I wanted everyone to see how amazingly cute this puppy is!:)

It's Beginning to look a Lot Like Christmas!

Maggie with her ornaments. This year she picked out a pig! Pretty funny!

David was very proud of the tree and his decorations!

We also decided to do a tree for the kids play room! They loved decorating it with all the "pretty" decorations!
David guiding Maggie on how to correctly decorate the tree!!
The finished trees!!

David with all of his ornaments. My favorite is the Otis dog that he picked out one year. I'm just not quite sure if he even likes dogs...:)

We had a lot of fun decorating this year for Christmas! The kids were very involved and loved putting their own special ornaments up! David even put up decorations and lights up outside this year and it looks great! We are finally getting enough decorations after 6 years of marriage! I am so excited about Christmas this year. The kids are both at such a fun age and are sooo excited for Santa to come and visit them!

It's a.....

This is one of her legs and the definite indication that she is a girl!!
This is the profile picture. Kindof hard to make out, but you can see her little nose there on the left of the picture!
There is her head with 2 big eyes looking at us!

We are just so excited and can't wait to meet little baby number 3!!! I have just known for months that she was a girl, because of all the drama she already caused!:) David was convinced (with some others) that it was a boy and had me doubting myself this week, but it turns out I was right! Maggie and David have also been saying it is a little sister. David's reasoning was that he wants another little Maggie, which is funny because I don't know if anyone but David was ready to have 2 Maggie Leigh's in this world!:)
We have chosen the name, Elizabeth. It is a really neat story on why we have chosen the name Elizabeth! Back in January I had a miscarriage. I was only about 6 or 7 weeks along, but I still had a very hard time with it. A couple months after the miscarriage I went to the temple to do some initiatories and I had my list of names with me while I was waiting and there was an Elizabeth. As soon as I saw that name I just got this amazing feeling that I would get pregnant again and it would be a little girl and I should name her Elizabeth! I just started balling as I kept looking at the name and realizing the tender message that He had just given me to help ease my pain. It was one of the most amazing experiences in my life and it gave me so much comfort knowing that Heavenly Father was watching over me and he knew how much I was hurting, but that he had a plan in mind. It was still hard dealing with the loss, but I also knew in my heart that it wasn't time for that child to come to this earth. I am so grateful for little moments like that. And I can't wait to meet little Elizabeth in a few months!! It feels like forever since there has been a little baby in our house!

Disney on Ice, Haircut and Snow Boots!

Some people are surprised to here that Santa "might";) be bringing the kids a doggy for Christmas. This is because they are not here to see how much they take turns acting like the doggy. And all little David is asking for Christmas is a real dog and a yo-yo!
I told Maggie to go and put her pants on and I came back into the room and found her in her Daddy's pants. I was laughing so hard, when I saw her in these.
I took Maggie to Disney on Ice as a reward for getting potty trained. She LOVED it!

Maggie's hair before and after...too cute, huh?!

Last Sunday morning we woke up to a foot of snow outside. The kids loved it!! I was not a fan of all the shoveling I had to do.
I got Maggie some new snow boots today and she insisted on wearing them, even without pants. I know Uncle Gabe especially loved it;)

Well we are just all at home watching this blizzard approach. It is supposed to be 55 mph winds, whiteouts, and lots of snow. They even sent people home early today from work because of how bad it's supposed to be, which is a huge deal for Utah. I guess the last big storm like this was back in 2003, so it has been a while. We'll see how it is tomorrow. We had a nice surprise last night. I was talking to Gabe on the phone and then the doorbell rang and I told Gabe to hold on and he said, "well I'll just let you go." So I hung up with him, opened the door and there he was standing at our front door. He wasn't supposed to be here until Wednesday, but left early because of all the bad weather. In other news Maggie Leigh is officially potty trained!!! Finally!!! I will have at least 4 more months with no diapers. I am so dang excited!!

Halloween

Gabby, David, and Maggie
Barbie, Popeye, The Knight, and Olive Oil

David and Giselle the Cat

We had a great Halloween! Minus the fact that it was FREEZING and raining...We still had a great time going to the ward Trunk or Treat. David and I even won the Cutest Couple for our costume!! We got a lot of compliments and everyone loved how we were like Jim and Pam from The Office!! Little David loved handing out the candy to the kids! He was pretty funny and entertaining with it. Some kids would try to come around more than once and he would say, "No you already got some candy from us." And then he would chase down people who hadn't gotten it yet! It was all pretty cute! Then after the Trunk or Treat, Trish and Gabby came over. It was raining and freezing so we only went to about 5 houses. All in all we had a great Halloween!!

My Birthday, Pumkin Carving and Snow

My beautiful presents this year from David and the kids!!! He did good this year!!

Maggie, David and Gabby really enjoyed my Dora Cupcakes!:)

David had it in his head that it was my 40th birthday...so he put 40 candles in one cupcake. It started to break so he had to duck tape it. Isn't he sweet and creative?!
We got about 6 inches of snow this past week. The kids loved playing in in. I don't love how long it takes me to get 2 kids dressed for the snow...

These are all of our pumpkins we did! Kevins is first, then David and Dad, then Giselle's, and then mine and Maggie's!!
When we were picking out pumpkins, we saw the perfect pumpkin for Giselle! The bottom was skinny and and the top was fat and we thought she would have a hard time working with it, but she did awesome! It was pretty funny. Then she ended up doing the best pumpkin with the penguin!

It has been a busy week. We got back from Arkansas last Saturday morning at 6:00 a.m. and I think that I am just now catching up with sleep. We had Giselle and Kevin come over and do pumpkins with us again this year. This time last year Kevin and Giselle had just barely started dating and we got to embarrass Giselle a lot while carving the pumpkins!! The kids were really into the pumpkins this year too. They just jumped right into getting those seeds out! It was a lot of fun! Then we had my birthday yesterday. It was a great birthday. Dave took Maggie out with him on Wednesday night to get my cake and presents. They got back and Maggie came running downstairs and said, "Mommy guess what? We got you a cake and it is NOT pink. It is green!!" Then David came down and told me that he wasn't going to hide my presents and they might just be in different rooms in the house and to watch where I looked! So then he went to Young Men and I went to finish the laundry and found my first painting on the washing machine. Then in the morning I went upstairs and found the next painting on the oven. Then David came home early and let me get out. Then he gave me the final painting. Then we went out to dinner. It was a lot of fun! I had a great day! Thanks to everyone who made it so nice, especially David!! P.S. Maggie did a great job at keeping the cake a surprise! It was actually a pink and yellow Dora. She really threw me off!:)
