We were so glad Sherrie and Dave came out to meet little Pierce. They got out here on Tuesday the 2nd and are here for a week. It is always fun, when they visit and the kids just love having them here. There’s been lots of shopping and laughing as usual. Today we had Pierce Jackson, receive a name and a blessing at church. It was such a special day and we just love our little guy. Somehow I didn’t get any pictures of just him in his blessing outfit, but he spit up all over it and so it came off pretty quick once we got home. His blessing was so sweet and he got some amazing blessings promised to him. I can’t wait to see those blessings become a reality in the years to come and to see what he can become, if he follows our Savior. He was really cheesing it up earlier, but of course I didn’t have my camera ready to go and missed the big smiles. He is such a sweet spirit and we just couldn’t be happier to have him in our family. Little Pierce Jackson Torgerson is now official. He didn’t start crying during the blessing until about 1/3 of the way into it. He was not too mad, but mad enough!

Christmas Tree Decorating
I love Christmas so much. I love the decorations, the music, the service that comes from it and just the feeling you get every year. I was good this year and didn’t put the decorations up until the day after Christmas. I was also exhausted and had a little baby attached to me most of the time, so that does help. The kids did a great job decorating the trees. Maggie is definitely the leader of it all and usually likes to lead the others in where the ornaments should go. I let them put their ornaments on the big tree and then they get to decorate the little 4 foot tree however they want! I am really enjoying this year, because this is the first time in about 9 years that I have been able to put ornaments on the tree below 2 feet and I feel pretty confident that the kids won’t break any of my breakable decorations. Also, I have no idea how I fit all of my decorations in our old house! Crazy! I also have a table with just the kids decorations that they can play with on a dedicated table and they love playing with the manger an all that stuff! It is pretty cute to watch too! We have a lot of décor. I love it and am so grateful to have this special time of year to remember our Savior and what an amazing blessing his birth was for each of us.
So David and his Dad made this amazing tree out in our front yard! It is amazing and I am so proud of the work they did! I just love Christmas so much!!
Here they are working away at the tree. I love watching them work together. It is always entertaining.
Thanksgiving 2015
We had a great Thanksgiving this year. We hosted at our house and I LOVED having my nice kitchen to prepare everything in. It was awesome. We had a ton of appetizers and food of course. It was all so delicious and I definitely have a ton to be grateful for. It was the 7 in our little family, the Flints and Trish, Gabby and Trish’s friend, Brent. We loved having a new face for the holiday and seeing how much of our awkwardness he could handle. He was a great sport about it all and had an huge fan…Lizzy. She loved him and would go and sit between Brent and Trish the whole day! It was hilarious. She also called him, Brentsy. Classic. The boys played some PS4 and Thunderstone. Poor Brent got forced into playing with David and Kevin. He was a good sport about it. It was such a great day and we love having what little family we do have out here with us. It makes the holidays easier to be away from the rest of our family. Such a great holiday and I love having my growing family to share it with.
Cute Kids
Pierce can really make some hilarious faces. He looked too adorable in this church outfit to not take pictures of him and all the kids wanted turns holding him of course. Maggie was a little busy out back enjoying some nice weather and practicing her hula hoop. Too cute kids!
Pinewood Derby 2015
David had a great time making his car with Dad this year and although he didn’t win…he had a great time at it! He is loving his leaders and boys at our new ward, but I think he really does miss the old ward and friends. We love scouting!
