We were so glad to be able to go home for Christmas. It had been 5 years since we had been home for the holidays, so we were long overdue.  We spent the first few days with the DeVauxs and had such a great time.  There are so many kids in our family!! They all play so well together most of the time and it is great to see them all together.  I made the grandkids some shirts with my Silhouette.  I figured who knows the next time I will get to be out there again for Christmas and have almost all the family together minus Trish and Gabby. It was quite the task, but Marji and I pulled it together and we loved the result! We also celebrated all the December birthdays, while we were there and David couldn’t pass up the opportunity to slam a cupcake on Gabe’s head.  The cousins had a great time building a fort outside at Grandma’s. We did a cousin gift exchange and we also fit in a trip to Larry’s Pizza to let the kids get out some built up energy. We stayed with my parents until Christmas Eve night and after all the DeVaux festivities, we headed to Dardanelle to start the Torgerson celebration. It was a great time there as well. There were more presents more candy and tons of laughs.  We also got to video chat with Austin that afternoon.  It was great to see him and how mature he looks and acts.  One of the funnier things from our time with the Torgersons was the gift we gave to Sherrie. Kevin had an idea a few months earlier to make an Obama 2016 sticker and put it on her car. She is not the biggest fan of him and so we made a little sticker for her car and put in on her back window. We then told her she had a present outside and she was so excited. Then she opened her eyes and read it and yelled, “Obama 2016?!!! What?!!” It was hilarious and we all got a kick out of it.  It wouldn’t be a Christmas at the Torgerson’s without a prank for Meme! Smile  It was so great to be home for Christmas and to build so many more memories as a family.
