November was another great month. We had our first snow and the kids all had an amazing time playing in it, as usual. But before that first snow we enjoyed one more beautiful fall day at Daybreak trails in South Jordan. Pierce became a walker this month as well and was so dang cute wobbling around. We got the 2 dogs groomed and they just looked too cute to not take a picture. We had an amazing Thanksgiving hosted at our house of course. We had Trish over and the Flint family was supposed to come, but unfortunately little Dax was sick, so they had to stay home. This was also the day we finally told all of our family that we would be expecting our 6th sometime next June. They were all shocked to say the least, but very excited! We waited a whole month before telling anyone and it was kind of fun having a secret. :) We told our kids that night before Thanksgiving. Maggie was throwing a fit about something and then we told her that we had a secret to tell each of them and she had to be happy, if she wanted to know the secret. So then we had each of them come to David and I and we whispered in their ear that we were having a little baby next year. Each of their expressions were so priceless and cute. They couldn't be more excited. Maggie also had her performance at the Festival of Trees at Southtown Expo Center and did an amazing job singing her songs and doing her dances. The day after Thanksgiving we of course had our day of decorating our Christmas trees. I always love having the kids decorate our little 4 foot tree and seeing them group all their ornaments together. That way I get to decorated the big tree the way I like it, as well. The week after Thanksgiving, David headed to Las Vegas for his Conference. I was about 9 weeks pregnant and unfortunately caught the flu. I was in horrible shape and could barely get out of bed, which made taking the kids to school quite the task. I had a fever, chills and just achy all over. I was seriously at an all time low and thinking how all I wanted was a nice bath and then one of my sweet friends, without knowing how sick I was, dropped off a late birthday present for me, homemade bath bombs! I was so touched by the perfect timing. She also brought over a meal for the kids. It was truly a huge blessing. After 3 or 4 days of being so sick, I finally got well and recovered. Throughout this whole time, poor Pierce was having a horrible time with sickness as well. He couldn't go more than a day without throwing up and we never knew when he was going to, so anytime we heard him start coughing, we would all jump over to where he may be and try to help him. Majority of the time this happened in the car and the kids got very used to commenting that P.J. had thrown up yet again. It was one of the most frustrating things ever!! The doctor said there was nothing they could do. It was so bad that we eventually threw out his car seat because it had so much throw up on it and got him a new one. He didn't stop this fun trend until about January. Life is fun and there is never a dull moment with 5 kids.
