We had the very rare blessing to have my parents come out for Christmas week this year. They were here for David’s baptism and Gabe’s graduation from December 18-24. It was a lot of fun to have them here, but oh so crazy and busy. David and I were planning on going to Rexburg for Gabe’s graduation from BYU-Idaho, but the weather wasn’t looking that great and with David’s baptism the next day I was a little too stressed and worried to go. Luckily he understood and I was grateful for that! So Mom, Dad, Trish and Gabby made the trek to Rexburg to celebrate with Gabe. While they were there I was at home prepping for David’s baptism and last minute Christmas crafts and presents that I had been putting off. Then Saturday we had the great blessing of David’s blessing. Then Sunday afternoon we went to Trish’s to have our DeVaux Christmas. It was so fun! Trish treated us with Beef Tenderloin that was sooooo amazing and just melted in our mouths and then all too many sides and desserts to go with it! Then we had our little present exchange. Mom and Dad got all of us kids smokers! It is a great addition to my kitchen an makes such delicious food. They got David and Maggie a glowing crayon drawing board, which they both love and then bags full of play-doh and other little goodies. Trish gave me an amazing food processor and David a huge box of laffy taffy. She gave Maggie a princess story book and Parker a cute Elmo hat and David an Angry Bird game. Then we got mom a new set of place-settings and Dad a tie, some house shoes and a gift card for some new shirts. We got Gabby “The Sound Of Music” which Trish had told me she wanted and boy was she right?! Gabby screamed when she opened it! It was pretty cute! It was great to celebrate with Mom and Dad even if it was a couple days early!
